Creating a Unique Social Media Strategy
When it comes to social media, all businesses are not created equal and should not use the same strategy. I have found that to create the right strategy you have to know your audience, be consistent, engage with your clients, analyze your data, and ALWAYS keep testing to achieve results. Clients also have to realize that success doesn’t happen overnight, and typically it can take a minimum of 7 touches before you gain a qualified lead.
Client Social Media Examples
Client 1:
I’ve worked with a client that is attracting new clients successfully through targeting on facebook and it is working with great success. They wanted to not only attract local clients but out of province clients which after a few posts ended up in a lead. Now its not just post on social media and hope for results, we created a consistent engaging campaign, along with a keyword strategy, and blog strategy to achieve some local organic search as well.
Client 2:
One of our clients was using multiple media for their marketing efforts however, after analyzing not only their strategy but their landing pages we were able optmize their pages to achieve amazing results for them. This was a simple fix as the client, just needed a fresh pair of eyes to consult on their efforts to help them reach their goals.
Client 3:
I have a client / friend which decided to go just a guns a blazing and starting on social media channels and starting posting every day. The only problem was soon they ran out of material/ideas and didn’t have a plan. I quickly advised him that once you start this marketing effort, your audience will soon start to expect that you are going to post every day and if you fail at achieving this, you’ll lose clients interest. It’s always better to create a plan, do not over do it, engage, and be consistent. I’ve recently looked in on his efforts and now he posts about twice a week and I can see that he has a plan with his posts and is achieving better results.
